Douglas Eckler, of Cohoes, was found guilty of sex crimes by a jury in Albany County Supreme Court on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
According to prosecutors, Eckler repeatedly sexually abused the victim for several years, between the spring of 2020 and February 2023.
The abuse started when the victim was under the age of 13.
In court Wednesday, jurors convicted him on one count of predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony.
Eckler faces up to 25 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced on Friday, Dec. 8.
